Security and Readiness

An important part of security work is to map risk; identify what values one have and what threats and vulnerabilities threat our values. Such analyses make the frames for security and readiness work. 

PwC assist with various types of analyses and assessments as basis for the establishing, further development or dimensioning of security work, readiness plans and continuity plans. Examples of such analyses can be risk analyses or readiness analyses with focus on the company's vulnerable areas and what is expected of resources and organisation to handle incidents that are considered most critical.

Who must be alerted, where to meet, who makes decisions - a crisis is often characterised by time pressure, uncertainty and critical decision making. A plan how to act in such situations is important for good and effective crisis management.

PwC helps establish framework for crisis management or concrete plans. This work is carried out in close dialogue with the customer to ensure anchoring and ownership of the plan. This is taken into accounting to the extent the company wishes to make arrangements for emergency support tools.

Are the notifications routines working? Are there ambiguities in the division of roles and responsibilities? Who are our stakeholders? Exercises and training is necessary to test and revise business plan. It is therefore a central part of the emergency work which also contributes to strengthen cooperation, skills and increasing expertise among emergency resources.

PwC helps plan, conduct and evaluate different types of exercises. Focus on exercises can be strategic crisis management or tactical and operational crisis management. We recommend a dynamic approach to practice and exercise,  meaning that groups or individuals participate according to actual level of qualifications.
