How to work with Upskilling

How we can help you preparing your workforce

The purpose behind: Together with 156 countries in the PwC network, we are launching a new upskilling initiative to increase the knowledge of millions of people. In Norway, we will link private and public business, as well as academia, and work together to find the best ways of solving today's knowledge gap

What we do:

We aim to help organisations achieve their business goals and drive productivity through workforce transformation. This is not just about developing job-related skills; it’s about anticipating the right skills for the future. Our focus is to form a cultural foundation that embraces upskilling and developing, with the right use of education technology to deliver a vastly better return on upskilling investment.

53 % of workers belive automation will significantly change or make their job obsolete within the next ten years!
77 % of people would learn new skills now or completely retrain to improve their future employability

PwCs five key building blocks for Upskilling

We start by identifying the size and nature of the organisation’s skills gaps and mismatches, today and in the future. We then discuss where to start and what to prioritise.

Next step is to build strategic plans for how to deal with skills gaps. We focus on the ones that have the most impact on delivering business value.

We use culture as the bedrock of an organisation’s upskilling efforts. Effective tools and internal communication flow are crucial for successful change.

Once the strategy is set, the focus will be on creating programmes which harness the organisation's culture and use research-based principles to deliver the right learning experience and rapid results.

The business should continuously measure and evaluate the return on investment from upskilling programmes.
